I hate beeswax. And this has beeswax in it.

Sue’s body butter 2016

Ingredients: Cannabis oil and essential oils of lavender, helichrysum, lemon, and patchouli. All infused in a base of argan oil, carrot seed oil, cocoa butter, coconut oil, frankincense oil, jojoba oil, pomegranate oil, rose hip seed oil, shea butter, st john’s wort oil, sweet almond oil, vitamin E oil, and beeswax.

I hate beeswax.

You may find a solid lump of beeswax in the middle of your pot o’salve. Here’s why.

Beeswax is hard to handle. It solidifies too fast. It gloms itself on to the container you mix it in and the utensil you stir it with — removal is no easy thing. I didn’t plan to use beeswax here but the salve just didn’t look like it was whipping up right, so I add some beeswax to it. Which (grrr!) solidified as I added it. I stirred and stirred. I have no idea if the beeswax managed to permeate itself through the salve or not. If you get to a lumpy bit, that would be the beeswax. Work around it. Dig it out when that becomes easy. Toss it. Pray for me. I get better at this shit all the time. Not perfect yet! Blessed be.
