Woohoo we are in double digits! Week Ten! Hooray for us!
“Whatever our individual troubles and challenges may be, it’s important to pause every now and then to appreciate all that we have, on every level. We need to literally ‘count our blessings,’ give thanks for them, allow ourselves to enjoy them, and relish the experience of prosperity we already have.” — Shakti Gawain, author
Well, that’s a beautiful quote, isn’t it?
I’ve been doing my best with a daily intentional mindfulness practice, which is so simple. To simply take a few mindful breaths often in the day. To simply take the time to uni-task a few times a day instead of massively multi-tasking. That “pause every now and then” is a powerful thing.
For me every time I stop and just feel my feet on the ground and become aware of my breathing is a gift from the goddess.
I am grateful that I am a meditator. More consistently than ever before.
I am grateful that the woman I am now probably wouldn’t be recognized by the woman I used to be.
I am grateful that my daughter loves and trusts me. I have earned that trust, yo.
I am grateful that I have people who are so important to me and I am engaged in letting them know that very thing. Early and often.
I am grateful that my sisters in the Bloodroot Honey Priestess Tribe are weathering the change of our name and our lineage (big doings in the pagan community!). We are strong and we bring the magic!
I am grateful for another day of beautiful cool sunshine here in Oakland.
I am grateful for a wonderful walk around the farmers market today.
I am grateful for the counter full of strawberries, the sink full of lemons and blood oranges, and the bowl full of greens all ready for my loving hands to cut, squeeze and cook them.
I am grateful for moderation.
I am grateful for mindfulness, especially as applied to unconscious habits (yay for loving my nails!).
I am grateful for everyone who plays in this gratitude playground with me.
Blessed be!
