gratitude friday 10/9

Today’s John Lennon’s birthday. I’m so grateful for his influence on my life through his music and his apparent — to my eyes — fierce independence and calling.

The Yankees won game 1 of the ALDS. One down…

The Red Sox lost their first game. Just sayin’…

I’m grateful for warm clothes. Nice clothes that fit well and that I love to wear.

I’m grateful for good food.

I’m grateful for my considerate kind and generous girlfriend. So amazing, so nice, to be so cared for.

I’m grateful for my hula sisters and brothers. I will miss them.

I’m grateful for my friends. And for my sister Barbara.

I’m grateful I got to speak to Rose. And request time with her around my birthday.

I’m grateful for gratitude.

Sharing birthday and Day of the Dead happiness — a gift for you!

I’m a barely tamed hippie, sage, seasoned, sarcastic (not all the time any more, but still). I’m a mom, a daughter, sister, a neighbor, and a friend. I’ve been on this meandering journey — like you, probably — seeking a better connection to and experience of peace, harmony, and fun in every bit of life. I’m single, quite good at it, and mostly love it. I’m here for the conversations I get to have with you, which these days center on exploring the mystery and beauty of life, work, health, aging, and creative expression.
