–I’m grateful! I’m grateful to be alive. I’m grateful.
–I’m grateful for showing up for the pre-proposal meeting at the City of Oakland for the graphic design contract. I’m feeling really good about this one and am cheerfully embarking upon the boatload of work to accomplish it.
–I’m grateful to wake up this morning and know I needed to do some surgery to my schedule. The four-hour hula workshop fundraiser sked’d for tomorrow is now gone. I need a little rest. It’s the last week of the increasing dark and my schedule is packed packed packed. I am honoring my need to hibernate, to allow my energy to express its pulled-inness (that’s a word I’ll never use again!) just a little bit. I didn’t go social dancing last night; I will tonight and tomorrow. Maybe. Tomorrow for sure.
–I’m grateful that my car got smogged in fifteen minutes for $40. Done. Complete. Easy. And nice people there too. Bonus.
–I’m grateful for my acupuncture treatment. Lots of juice to my painful parts, and a nap while the needles were in. Lovely. And homework (of course), something I can do daily to increase the chi moving through my shoulders arms and hands.
–I’m grateful for new biz possibilities and plans.
–I’m grateful for birthing a partnership with a writer I met at the Co-op American green biz conference—we’re thinking of doing some targeted marketing together.
–I’m grateful for my AA meeting last night. For introducing my new sponsee to my sponsor. That’s a lovely moment of connectedness.
–I’m grateful for plans with Kat to get together on the 24th and go to a blues event. How lovely is that!
–I’m grateful for hula. For my new pa’u (skirt) that I bought for myself. It’s lovely. A pa’u is a hula practice skirt; looks like this. It’s worn low on the hip and moves so nicely as the hips sway in all the lovely hula movements. Mine is different colors and pattern than this one. It’s beautiful, I’ll take a picture and post it next week!
–I’m grateful to be warm.
–To be whole perfect and complete just as I am and as everything is this moment.
–I’m grateful to be immersed in this women’s archetypes book I’m reading. It’s fascinating.
