gratitude friday 12/28

It’s a lovely morning. Cold rainy gray wintry. I’m chilled. I’m grateful for weather. For warm clothes and heaters.

Work is firing along and I’m grateful for being busy.

And for learning so much! Every day.

I’m grateful for making a start with the filing. Nice to be committed to keeping volume down. Paper threatens to overwhelm this small space in which I dwell and work.

I’m grateful for my private training yesterday. Felt so good to move and to be worked on. And I’m grateful for reaching out to David Parker for body work; I can use some. I truly can.

I’m grateful for my AA meeting and people’s love and concern. And I’m okay with not being sure about some of the comments made to me after the meeting.

One suggestion was great: I reread a bunch of last year’s gratitude entries (pre-blog, paper copies of my emails pasted in a journal). I do have a lovely life and I’m blessed.

I’m grateful for a ride to and from the dance with friends. For being picked up at my house and delivered home. For dancing for two hours. For live music. For friends. For Michelle telling me I’m one of the only people with whom she likes to dance the Balboa; made me so so so happy.

I’m grateful for a short work week. That’s nice. And for my dinner-date tonight and for my date tomorrow with Rose.

Blessed be.

Sharing birthday and Day of the Dead happiness — a gift for you!

I’m a barely tamed hippie, sage, seasoned, sarcastic (not all the time any more, but still). I’m a mom, a daughter, sister, a neighbor, and a friend. I’ve been on this meandering journey — like you, probably — seeking a better connection to and experience of peace, harmony, and fun in every bit of life. I’m single, quite good at it, and mostly love it. I’m here for the conversations I get to have with you, which these days center on exploring the mystery and beauty of life, work, health, aging, and creative expression.
