Should be a quiet day for incoming phone calls and emails; it’s a holiday. And tomorrow’s the inauguration—big doings! How wonderful to see this day come, how wonderful on many counts—Americans elected a black president; George W Bush is outta there!—those are the top two for me.
I’m grateful for my weekend. Nice balance of rest and activity, people and quiet time.
I am grateful for my Crone’s Breath group, for our time together Saturday, in circle, sewing and talking and holding loving space for each other.
I am so grateful I painted a shadowbox for Victoria and overcame my hesitation (fear) and gave it to her. Loaded with treasures: two stones—a peacock pyrite and something else I can’t remember; a milagro of a leg; and a goddess pendant with a spiral on her belly.
I am so grateful for time with my sister yesterday; we took a nice long walk on the Bay View trail in the redwoods. Dappled light, beautiful trees, moss, ferns. And my sister’s company. And my camera. As my mother would say: What could be bad?
And lunch with Allen, talking business and networking. I hope I was able to be of help.
I’m grateful for hula practice; it’s been a long time! For coming clean about the money I owed my hula sister’s for facility fees and dancing dancing with them.
I’m grateful for taking myself to a movie and dinner last night. Revolutionary Road. Interesting. I didn’t love it. Seemed to skate along the surface (not much depth).
Life is good and I am blessed.
