gratitude Monday 3/10

It’s Monday morning and I’m grateful. For springtime-like weather. For time in the garden. For my troubled friend calling me from a halfway house. For being present for listening and standing in love and compassion.

For getting my marble at the Oakland birthday meeting (you get your marbles back). For circling with a new ritual group. For doing a Rosh Chodesh reading for myself. And a year-ahead reading for my sister.

For celebrating my sister’s birthday with dinner together and gifting her with a shawl I made. It’s totally her colors and what’s even better is that she is going to sanctify it and make it her prayer shawl. Lovely.

Went to the theater with my sister and my dad, saw Carrie Fisher’s Wishful Drinking. Nice to laugh. And laugh some more. Some great lines.

For a weekend without dancing. A quiet weekend. Lots of rest. I feel very good this morning. All is well. Blessed be.

Sharing birthday and Day of the Dead happiness — a gift for you!

I’m a barely tamed hippie, sage, seasoned, sarcastic (not all the time any more, but still). I’m a mom, a daughter, sister, a neighbor, and a friend. I’ve been on this meandering journey — like you, probably — seeking a better connection to and experience of peace, harmony, and fun in every bit of life. I’m single, quite good at it, and mostly love it. I’m here for the conversations I get to have with you, which these days center on exploring the mystery and beauty of life, work, health, aging, and creative expression.
