gratitude monday 3/9 part 2

Don’t ask. The blog-posting interface went wonky so I’m starting over. Don’t need the distraction.

Big gratitude this morning.

Told my landlady I was worried about my rent increasing as my lease is up.

Landlady: I’m not going to raise your rent.

Me: Thanks! Phew! Could you lower it?

Landlady: Yes, by $100 a month.

How nice is that!

I am going to exchange energy by being her Craigslist poster, to help her generate revenue.

I am also grateful to have gotten a phone message from my daughter from her new mobile phone! She’s got a phone again. That’s a relief. (I  worry about her being in the car without one in case of emergency—I am such a Jewish mother.)

My heart is filled with joy for the wonderful reception my hand-appliquéed blocks received when I gave them as gifts yesterday. Even the mavens of quilting liked them.

I’m a barely tamed hippie, sage, seasoned, sarcastic (not all the time any more, but still). I’m a mom, a daughter, sister, a neighbor, and a friend. I’ve been on this meandering journey — like you, probably — seeking a better connection to and experience of peace, harmony, and fun in every bit of life. I’m single, quite good at it, and mostly love it. I’m here for the conversations I get to have with you, which these days center on exploring the mystery and beauty of life, work, health, aging, and creative expression.
