It’s a very good time to stop and breathe and take a moment to tap into the well of gratitude.
I am shocked. Shocked! That it’s 7:51 am on Monday and I’m behind schedule already. Gotta figure out a way to manage my social networking time with the rest of my business and personal life. I got out of bed at 5:59 am!
I am so grateful. Yesterday I got to walk by the ocean and get a sand facial in the wild winds. The sun was shining, it was cool and oh so windy. We walked from where the buffalo roam — who knew there were buffalo in Golden Gate Park? — past the tulips, through the redwoods and eucalyptus to the beach. I got my hit of the ocean. Of Oshun. Of the energy and beauty that feeds my soul.
I did all this walking with Shari, my cherished friend. A nun and a priestess out for a walk. Together, once I could slow her down enough so we could match paces. She’s such an athlete! Just completed her first century (that’s 100 miles!) bike ride. About to do another in May.
And then she cooked up a delicious dinner for us and another friend whom I hadn’t seen in years. Yum on the company and double yum on the food! Moroccan chicken, pureed parsnips and potatoes, and braised greens.
This capped a weekend of blessed ritual. Two full moon rituals, and at the first one, the blessing of celebrating my ordination with my sisters. My daughter attended! Friends came. It was a big and boisterous and beautiful circle. I am a blessed blessed woman.
Even though I have a technology shakeup here and need to — once again! — reach out for tech support.
Blessed be to every living thing, life and energy to all creatures. So mote it be!
Sue,
I love the gratitude practice. You have inspired me to restart my commitment to record my own gratitude thoughts to paper.
I look forward to meeting up with you next Wednesday. And I would love to plan a walk too.
Namaste. Irene
Irene, welcome! Glad to see you here. I’m looking forward to next Wednesday too!k And a walk…How about the hour before we go to the city? Can do?
