A recipe for healing is a day like I had Saturday:
One part weeding, watering and picking greens in my garden
One part workout at the gym with a surprise visit from my sister in the Pilates room
One big part walking in the surf in the late afternoon sunshine with a good friend
One part lindy hop dancing
My heart sings to be in this life and to have so much joy.
I am also grateful for the renewed connection with my sister. Barbara—the sister I have deeply in my life—put up some old photos of our grandparents’ 50th anniversary celebration. The photos have drawn our more withdrawn (at least from me) sister into a lively set of conversations. Mmmmm…yum.
I’m grateful for a quiet day yesterday. Hula practice was canceled and I took a nap! Caught up on some sleep. Knitted (and then ripped the whole f’ing thing! after messing up the 4th row of 431 stitches per row!) and visited with dad and Barbara and Allen. Dinner and conversation and cribbage.
Life is good. Life is very good. Blessed be.
