Gratitude Sunday night, 1/20/13

I am grateful today.

  • I’m grateful for a lovely and unusual weekend.
  • I am grateful for a day of retreat. What a gift to give to myself. Circling with 22 women, faciliated by Jen Louden, one of my favorite teachers. How lovely to meet her face to face!
  • I am grateful for so much warm sunshine.
  • I am grateful for yoga, and more yoga. Today I got to go to Alan’s 8:30 a.m. class. You can be certain that he’s a great teacher, for me to be anywhere but in my bed at that hour on a Sunday!
  • I am grateful for the Barrelates class—my first—I went to on Friday night. Ouch I’m sore, and it was so much fun!
  • I am grateful for people who smilingly help.
  • I am grateful for my beautiful daughter Rose.
  • I am grateful for conversations with my sisters, my beloved sisters.
  • I am grateful for immersion learning. The WordPress meetups are really helping me!
  • I am grateful for signs of spring. Magnolias are beginning to bloom.
  • I see buds on many bare tree branches. The light is changing.
  • I am grateful for what happens when I take my time, smile and make eye contact with the people I see every day.
  • I am grateful to be a lifelong learner (seems to come in so handy!)
  • I am just grateful!

I’m a barely tamed hippie, sage, seasoned, sarcastic (not all the time any more, but still). I’m a mom, a daughter, sister, a neighbor, and a friend. I’ve been on this meandering journey — like you, probably — seeking a better connection to and experience of peace, harmony, and fun in every bit of life. I’m single, quite good at it, and mostly love it. I’m here for the conversations I get to have with you, which these days center on exploring the mystery and beauty of life, work, health, aging, and creative expression.
