gratitude thursday 1/30

I have a rich life!

lei flowersI bought flowers yesterday—four bunches—for tonight’s lei-making workshop. I’ve got two kinds of compact-head mums, some freesia and ranunculus (which I can’t see in the photo; wonder how they’re holding up?). I cut them as directed and have kept them in the fridge until I leave tonight for class. I braided my raffia (to which I will attach the flowers) last week. This is gonna be fun!

I have sewing time booked at Shar’s when I can make some more quilt blocks, especially ones to give as gifts. Exciting.

I’m grateful for all this fun stuff.

I messed up and forgot where I was supposed to meet a business colleague for tea yesterday so ended up being ten or so minutes late. I forgave myself right away, maybe quicker than Irene forgave me, but that’s not my problem. Nice to know that.

I enjoyed walking in the beautiful sunshine. My new habit of parking farther away and walking more is a source of pleasure.

I’m grateful for networking. I left early last night from the WIC meeting as I was feeling kinda crappy. I am so relieved that I got there early and met some interesting people.

I will follow up with them by tomorrow. It is now in the calendar. Done and to be done!

I am blessed. Life is rich. And I know it!

Sharing birthday and Day of the Dead happiness — a gift for you!

I’m a barely tamed hippie, sage, seasoned, sarcastic (not all the time any more, but still). I’m a mom, a daughter, sister, a neighbor, and a friend. I’ve been on this meandering journey — like you, probably — seeking a better connection to and experience of peace, harmony, and fun in every bit of life. I’m single, quite good at it, and mostly love it. I’m here for the conversations I get to have with you, which these days center on exploring the mystery and beauty of life, work, health, aging, and creative expression.
