gratitude thursday 3/5

It’s a beautiful cold morning and I’m up and at the computer. I’ve made my bed and stretched my body and am sipping my first cup of herbal tea.

Internet radio’s streaming and all is right with the world.

Ordination is coming; two weeks away. It’s starting to loom large in my thoughts and consciousness. Moving through the mundane with my eyes and thoughts on this milestone.corazon milagro

The communication Rabbit sent about pre-ordination doubts and jitters was very helpful. What’s brought into the light loses some of its power to make me nuts.

I am a grateful woman. I’m grateful for my evening with Heidi last night; she’s four weeks pre-wedding and it’s fun to talk about all the preparations. I offered to help arrange her pre-wedding girls’ night. And I gave her a birthday present that I put together, a charm bag with some stones and a corazon (heart) milagro and a goddess figurine. We ate at a wonderful downtown Indian restaurant called Sultan. Yum!

I’m grateful too that I took initiative and am having my wand tip replaced. The amber tip was too pale for my taste and I’m replacing it with a piece of pietersite. I found these properties for pietersite on a forum:

pietersitePietersite has a connection to the storm element and is thus called the Tempest Stone. It is believed to hold the keys to the kingdom of heaven.

Pietersite links daily consciousness to the spiritual.

Used as a stone of vision, it works well during meditation to access higher levels of awareness, stimulating the third eye and increasing your inherent intuition.

Use pietersite to:

Support your willpower
Strengthen inner guidance
Recognize truths

The healing properties of pietersite:

This stone is used to stimulate the pituitary gland, balance endocrine system and hormones that govern metabolism, blood pressure, growth, sex and temperature.
Helpful to lungs, liver, intestines, feet, legs.

Sounds good to me!

I’m grateful for an acupuncture treatment; it’s been so long! Felt wonderful.

And for my home finally getting professionally cleaned. Phew!

Life is a blessing.

I’m a barely tamed hippie, sage, seasoned, sarcastic (not all the time any more, but still). I’m a mom, a daughter, sister, a neighbor, and a friend. I’ve been on this meandering journey — like you, probably — seeking a better connection to and experience of peace, harmony, and fun in every bit of life. I’m single, quite good at it, and mostly love it. I’m here for the conversations I get to have with you, which these days center on exploring the mystery and beauty of life, work, health, aging, and creative expression.
