Did you see the full moon rise last night? The full strawberry moon? I love the full moon nicknames; here’s one list:
January: Wolf Moon
February, Snow Moon
March, Worm Moon
April, Pink Moon
May, Flower Moon
June, Strawberry Moon
July, Buck Moon
August, Sturgeon Moon
September, Harvest Moon
October, Hunter’s Moon
November, Beaver Moon
December, Cold Moon
It’s also a Solstice moon, which sets up the phenomenon for the moon to look huge at moonrise. You can read about the science of this here.
What a beautiful moonrise over Lake Merritt. (My whole Tarot class went out mid-class to look for the moon. She became visible to us over the lake just as class ended.
I’m grateful for the Tarot-learning experience. I love the work, the class, and that I get to create flyers for the classes. My readings and my understanding of the cards are changing.
I’m grateful for this life. For being a learner. For being busy in so many communities and so many areas of my life.
I am blessed.
The ramp-up to the solstice continues. What a week! So much light. Powerful. I am grateful to be aware.
Blessed be.
I am grateful to have you at my side as my TA for the tarot class. I am grateful for your enthusiasm for the Art. I am grateful for your skill as a designer. I am grateful that you are my Initiate and Daughter in our tradition. I am grateful that you are my “witchster.” I am grateful that you are my friend.
