gratitude wednesday 1/14

I’m grateful. Grateful for this morning practice. Sitting here in the dawn. Sky lightening outside the windows. No lights on here in the office; monitors glowing in the dark.

I’m grateful for technology and the internet.

I’m grateful for connection to smart and interesting people. For a woman who works alone, as I do, the connections are cherished treasures for me.

I am grateful that I finished The Pagan Book of Living and Dying. Phew! That was hard work, getting it read in just a few days. What a great book. Moving. Empowering.

I’m grateful that my body seems to be responding to treatment. I have only had diarrhea once in the last three days. That’s following three solid weeks of diarrhea every single day. It was exhausting!

I’m grateful for friends and love. For balmy January weather. I know we need rain rain rain; shoreline park jan08can’t help smiling in the warm sunshine.

I’m grateful for taking time to walk at Middle Harbor Shoreline Park. A half hour of walking on sand, looking for feathers (found one), taking some pix. What a beautiful spot! Stuck off to the side in the Port of Oakland. Trucks and cranes and containers everywhere and then this beautiful park. Next time I go I’m going to leave more time so I can climb the observation tower.

I’m grateful for taking care of business, of my powerful scheduling tool and using it.

I’m grateful for teaming up with Mike on the Sustainable Business Alliance branding and website. My pro bono project for the year.

Life is good and I am blessed.

Sharing birthday and Day of the Dead happiness — a gift for you!

I’m a barely tamed hippie, sage, seasoned, sarcastic (not all the time any more, but still). I’m a mom, a daughter, sister, a neighbor, and a friend. I’ve been on this meandering journey — like you, probably — seeking a better connection to and experience of peace, harmony, and fun in every bit of life. I’m single, quite good at it, and mostly love it. I’m here for the conversations I get to have with you, which these days center on exploring the mystery and beauty of life, work, health, aging, and creative expression.
