gratitude wednesday 12/17

I am grateful for warmth emanating from two heaters. I am so grateful for the chill easing up. 56º in my front room this morning. A little bit brrrr.

I am grateful for the gift I bought for my sister and her family. This year the family gets one gift that I hope all will enjoy.

I am grateful for patience and a sense of humor.

I am grateful for this practice, for connection to gratitude which is one way I connect to spirit.

Almost-solstice morning.
Dark, dark dark and cold
The wind brings winter’s bite,
the reminder that we have so long to go before we see the light, the light green of new growth

Everyone, everything is going inside
Going deep into the dark
Waiting again for the glint of something bright,
for the sound of laughter,
to bring the glimmer of light back again.

I am grateful for heart warmth, for love and light.

Blessed be.

I’m a barely tamed hippie, sage, seasoned, sarcastic (not all the time any more, but still). I’m a mom, a daughter, sister, a neighbor, and a friend. I’ve been on this meandering journey — like you, probably — seeking a better connection to and experience of peace, harmony, and fun in every bit of life. I’m single, quite good at it, and mostly love it. I’m here for the conversations I get to have with you, which these days center on exploring the mystery and beauty of life, work, health, aging, and creative expression.
