gratitude wednesday 2/20

It’s raining raining raining. I’m grateful to be warm and dry. I’m grateful for the sound of the rain. I’m grateful for the seasons and all the spring growth I see around me: fruit trees in blossom, magnolias in bloom, buds on all kinds of trees, new growth on my succulents.

I’m grateful for health vitality fitness and life. For inspiration afforded me by conscious deep breathing. For knowing that my thoughts are not me, not real, and will pass. For enduring and rolling with low times, knowing that I’ve come through them before and likely will again.

I’m grateful for morning yoga and tai chi practice. For stretching and breathing and relaxing. For quiet time.

I’m grateful for my work. For my clients. For money earned and saved. For bills paid and food in the fridge. I have so much for which to be grateful.

Blessed be.

I’m a barely tamed hippie, sage, seasoned, sarcastic (not all the time any more, but still). I’m a mom, a daughter, sister, a neighbor, and a friend. I’ve been on this meandering journey — like you, probably — seeking a better connection to and experience of peace, harmony, and fun in every bit of life. I’m single, quite good at it, and mostly love it. I’m here for the conversations I get to have with you, which these days center on exploring the mystery and beauty of life, work, health, aging, and creative expression.
