gratitude wednesday 3/17

Hmmm. Many of you think it’s just St. Patrick’s Day. It’s also Nat King Cole’s birthday. Here are some reminders (videos of his performances, check ’em out).

I’m grateful today. Finished my craft for one of the two, maybe three, equinox/Ostara rituals coming up. Ironed down a bouquet of flowers (love WonderUnder). I’m grateful for fiesta standards, that it doesn’t need to be perfect. Grateful that the theme for the bouquet is gratitude. Every flower and petal I ironed down became another prayer of gratitude, another tear of sadness and wonder.

I’m grateful for my sister Barbara, for our love and mutual support through these trying and tiring days.

I’m grateful for thinking on, planning, how to give some $ to my daughter in a way that will best support her.

(Call me crazy, I don’t want to give her cash that she will spend on weed and gaming.)

I’m grateful for generosity and love and sunshine and gardens and friends and hugs and multicolored pedicures (I have Easter basket toes).

I’m grateful to be grateful.

Blessed be.

Sharing birthday and Day of the Dead happiness — a gift for you!

I’m a barely tamed hippie, sage, seasoned, sarcastic (not all the time any more, but still). I’m a mom, a daughter, sister, a neighbor, and a friend. I’ve been on this meandering journey — like you, probably — seeking a better connection to and experience of peace, harmony, and fun in every bit of life. I’m single, quite good at it, and mostly love it. I’m here for the conversations I get to have with you, which these days center on exploring the mystery and beauty of life, work, health, aging, and creative expression.
