gratitude wednesday 4/1

April 1st. April Fools jokes on the internet and the radio. Life is funny. Funny is good. Funny rocks.

treasureislandpanoramicI am grateful for generosity. I just made a glossy print — for the second time — of a photo Dustin took. I created five versions of the panoramic shot of the Golden Gate and printed them and sent them to Dustin.

At the post office, the clerk talked me out of shipping it flat (sandwiched in cardboard) and I put it in a USPS tube. Big mistake. It arrived chez Dustin all bent up. I shoulda known; the tube was kinda flimsy.

So I’ve reprinted it, on even better paper, and sandwiched it again (I saved the cardboard!), and put the sandwiched print inside an Epson box. Hopefully this will do the trick!

I am grateful for getting vetted and accepted as a Taproot volunteer. I’ll be working on a pro bono project with them soon.

I am grateful for planning for Heidi’s pre-wedding party tonight. Cooked up some grilled veggies. This’ll be fun!

Took on a practice today: clearing *I am supported in everything I do* by writing it 22 times in one session for eleven days. Every time I write it, I allow the stream of consciousness responses to flow out of my pen. Challenging. I’m happy for it. I need this right now.

I’m a grateful woman. I am blessed.

I’m a barely tamed hippie, sage, seasoned, sarcastic (not all the time any more, but still). I’m a mom, a daughter, sister, a neighbor, and a friend. I’ve been on this meandering journey — like you, probably — seeking a better connection to and experience of peace, harmony, and fun in every bit of life. I’m single, quite good at it, and mostly love it. I’m here for the conversations I get to have with you, which these days center on exploring the mystery and beauty of life, work, health, aging, and creative expression.
