gratitude wednesday 4/23

I am awake. I am alive. I am breathing freely and moving with ease. I am oiling my dry skin and oiling my feet before bed. I am working hard and resting well. No choice really, this cleanse I am doing tires me out.

The cleanse has been very interesting. I’ve never done anything like it before. It feels great in some ways. And I’ve had no belly bloating at all—none of the abdominal distress symptoms that wear me down on so many days. Interesting. I fervently hope the belly ease lasts after the cleanse ends—tomorrow is the last day.

I’m grateful for cool weather and sunshine. I’m grateful for work that’s going well. For being productive.

I’m grateful for my teammates: Robert and Dustin make my work work!

I’m grateful for rolling some of my IRA funds to the venue where I can control the investment. I am so grown-up about this!

I am grateful for grilling up a bunch of chicken and lamb and pork and cutting it up and freezing it. Protein prepared!

I am grateful that I am eating more white meat and less fatty meat. I think the fatty stuff triggers more belly bloat. A theory…

I’m grateful to be alive and present and fit and fine. Blessed be.

I’m a barely tamed hippie, sage, seasoned, sarcastic (not all the time any more, but still). I’m a mom, a daughter, sister, a neighbor, and a friend. I’ve been on this meandering journey — like you, probably — seeking a better connection to and experience of peace, harmony, and fun in every bit of life. I’m single, quite good at it, and mostly love it. I’m here for the conversations I get to have with you, which these days center on exploring the mystery and beauty of life, work, health, aging, and creative expression.
