gratitude wednesday 5/12

Puttin’ some gratitude in my attitude…and what a lovely morning for it!

I am grateful for this amazing morning. Cool sunny and beautiful. I am grateful for the alternate dryer next door when the one downstairs doesn’t work. I am grateful that I have enough quarters to keep on going with my laundry when an appliance refuses to cooperate.

I am grateful for the garden and the food that grows in it for me. The greens: chard, two kinds of kale, mizuna, tatsoi, chinese spinach and more that I am cooking and eating. For all the young lettuces. Yum! For the patty pan squash, bush beans and snap peas that will soon be appearing on the gorgeous plants I’m tending.

For the fellow gardeners in our community garden. For what I’m learning. For recognizing food plants.

I am grateful for the dark moon magic I got to do with my friend, sister, cherished neighbor Ladybug last night. We wrote down our transformational intentions and put the magick’ed paper in her worm bin—let the worms aid in the transformation! Yay! We sang the We Are Opening song and sealed it. Quick new moon magic while holding the wonderful Avery in my arms (LB’s year-old son). Beautiful.

I am grateful for the support in my life. I have a rich and cherished support system.

I am grateful for my health, fitness, strength, sense of humor, smarts, ease, transformation. I am blessed. Oh yes!

I’m a barely tamed hippie, sage, seasoned, sarcastic (not all the time any more, but still). I’m a mom, a daughter, sister, a neighbor, and a friend. I’ve been on this meandering journey — like you, probably — seeking a better connection to and experience of peace, harmony, and fun in every bit of life. I’m single, quite good at it, and mostly love it. I’m here for the conversations I get to have with you, which these days center on exploring the mystery and beauty of life, work, health, aging, and creative expression.
