gratitude wednesday 5/13

What a beautiful morning. Sunny. Cool. Sitting in my fleece and flipflops. Just watered some succulents with last night’s undrunk herbal tea. I know coffee grounds are good for plants; can’t seem to find out if herbal tea is also beneficial—guess I’m experimenting.

I’m grateful for my talk with Kat last night. Got through to Mexico on the first try, as opposed to previous weeks. Good to check in; good to have sponsors and to be accountable.

I’m grateful for my little garden. Bought two more kinds of seeds yesterday: dwarf bok choy and a Japanese spinach. More greens! This was the first week when I didn’t buy any greens at Berkeley Bowl; I’ve got enough chard, tatsoi and mizuna from my garden. Wow! How cool is that? Add a little bok choy and dill from the farmers market and yum and a half! (And now I’ve got some dill growing in my herb barrel; won’t need to buy more of that for a while!)

I’m grateful for successfully getting four jobs to the printer yesterday. And for following up impeccably.

I’m grateful for getting loads of errands done. Went to printer to check proofs, which were not ready. Fish oil picked up, cord bought so I can wear my new hamsa hand—that my sister brought me from Israel—around my neck. Picked up dinner, went to farmers market and Berkeley Bowl and made it to the board meeting a few minutes early! Wow.

Rose got a job! Rose got a job! Rose got a job! I don’t have details yet but I am triple happy and grateful about this.

I love my life. Blessed be.

I’m a barely tamed hippie, sage, seasoned, sarcastic (not all the time any more, but still). I’m a mom, a daughter, sister, a neighbor, and a friend. I’ve been on this meandering journey — like you, probably — seeking a better connection to and experience of peace, harmony, and fun in every bit of life. I’m single, quite good at it, and mostly love it. I’m here for the conversations I get to have with you, which these days center on exploring the mystery and beauty of life, work, health, aging, and creative expression.
