Gratitudes Monday morning February 7th

It’s the 7th of February. It’s 50º on a Monday morning at 7 a.m. The weather has been balmy and gorgeous all weekend. I was outdoors so much, enjoying the warmth of the sun.

I love how I can tell how much I’m out and in life—I played very little Words with Friends this weekend. My online sorta-like-Scrabble games took a backseat to the rest of my life. Nice!

Garden planning is proceeding. It will be different this year. Communal plots. I started seeds yesterday! Outdoors. In February. The warm part of global warming, I guess.

  • I am so grateful that I am in a position to bring a big bag of groceries—from Trader Joe and from my own cupboards—to my sister Kismet. Some way to be of use, of service.
  • I am grateful for the opportunity to be of service to my sisters with my astro reports at ritual. I loved our ritual this week, honoring our sacred maidens, honoring the Imbolc season. Beautiful healing lovely circling with beautiful women.
  • I am raising the bar with my aerobics workouts, copying my sister Barbara once again. This last week I did two sessions on the elliptical trainer and one on a stair climber. Off my ass and on my feet. (I had been doing stationery bike workouts, not so weight-bearing.)
  • Aah, so so grateful for the first California asparagus of the season!! Threw some on the grill last night. The seasons are changing in my kitchen! I am grateful for making art. Jenny and I are so excited about the niches. This week we get to do our field trips to the beach and the volcanic preserve to hopefully find the last bits we want in our Goddess altar shadowboxes.

Life is very good and I am very blessed!

I’m a barely tamed hippie, sage, seasoned, sarcastic (not all the time any more, but still). I’m a mom, a daughter, sister, a neighbor, and a friend. I’ve been on this meandering journey — like you, probably — seeking a better connection to and experience of peace, harmony, and fun in every bit of life. I’m single, quite good at it, and mostly love it. I’m here for the conversations I get to have with you, which these days center on exploring the mystery and beauty of life, work, health, aging, and creative expression.
