gratituesday 3/10

I have a new interface for the blog; my host finally provided the software update. So now I am looking at a whole new posting GUI and it’s got everything different. So I’m looking around.

I can post music! Think I’ll try. Bless the Broken Road.

Kūpaoa is a pair of Hawai’ian singers, a young couple with the most beautiful voices. They performed at my hula school’s performances the last couple of years and did a concert and talk for us in class. I fell in love with their music.

My quilt is coming together. I have pieced together half of the front. I actually have Brighde’s sewing machine set up and working on my dining table. I will post a photo tomorrow (camera is in the car). It’s wildly asymmetrical, and I’m living with that. I am feeling an amazing sense of accomplishment with it. Even in its imperfection.

I am grateful for life, in all of its aspects. For my health. For fitness. For strength. For patience and lovingkindness.

I am grateful for friends and family. And friends who have become family.

Life is a blessing.

Sharing birthday and Day of the Dead happiness — a gift for you!

I’m a barely tamed hippie, sage, seasoned, sarcastic (not all the time any more, but still). I’m a mom, a daughter, sister, a neighbor, and a friend. I’ve been on this meandering journey — like you, probably — seeking a better connection to and experience of peace, harmony, and fun in every bit of life. I’m single, quite good at it, and mostly love it. I’m here for the conversations I get to have with you, which these days center on exploring the mystery and beauty of life, work, health, aging, and creative expression.
