gratituesday 9/15

I’ve been away from my grats for a couple of days; feels weird.

I’m grateful for my health and for the knowing that I will be restored to health swiftly. This cold, this sore throat, this sneezing, will be gone be gone be gone before I know it.

I am grateful for my health and fitness and happiness and strength and willingness. I am grateful for my capacity for self-care. I am grateful that I no longer need to be reminded to take the same loving exquisite care of myself as I do so freely for anyone else I love. I’m on it. Gargling, drinking hot soothing teas, taking C and wellness formula and bee pollen.

I am grateful that my monthly three-day cleanse starts today. What a perfect time to get even cleaner with my diet. Quinoa and veggies. No meat, no dairy for three days. It’s the dark of the moon and it’s my practice to lighten up my food and get more mindful of what I put into my body. Starts with my next meal. Yay.

I’m grateful for the love in my life. I’m grateful for the joy and happiness and depth of feeling.

I’m grateful for the wonderful overnight trip I took with my lover. Romantic B&B, hot tub in the redwoods in the rain, with the clouds parting and showing us an amazing starry sky. Walking in the beautiful redwood and bay forest. Walking on a nearly deserted beach near Bodega Bay on a sunny warm day. Eating a wonderful ethicurian lunch at River’s End in Jenner. No traffic anywhere. A beautiful getaway. A wonderful retreat.

I am blessed and I am grateful. Just sayin’…

Sharing birthday and Day of the Dead happiness — a gift for you!

I’m a barely tamed hippie, sage, seasoned, sarcastic (not all the time any more, but still). I’m a mom, a daughter, sister, a neighbor, and a friend. I’ve been on this meandering journey — like you, probably — seeking a better connection to and experience of peace, harmony, and fun in every bit of life. I’m single, quite good at it, and mostly love it. I’m here for the conversations I get to have with you, which these days center on exploring the mystery and beauty of life, work, health, aging, and creative expression.
