gratituesday 9/16

It’s 7:30 in the morning and I’m grateful.

The eye infection is clearing up. My eye feels so much better.

I got a good night’s sleep.

I’m grateful for bills paid and money with which to pay them.

I’m grateful to have gotten into the pool again yesterday.

I’m grateful for lunch with my sister and our desultory conversation. So many threads, it’s a lifelong chat. Nice.

I’m grateful for surviving day one of a more restricted food plan—one I’ll do for fourteen days. The pounds that I put on—especially since I stopped drinking caffeine—time for them to go.

I’m grateful for some things I’m noticing about my physical body. My teeth aren’t stained! The itchy skin on my thighs has stopped itching. I’m watching my skin, waiting for the dryness/lizardness to start to change. Not yet, but it’s only been seven weeks.

I’m grateful for life. Yes I am.

I’m grateful for getting to an AA meeting yesterday.

I’m grateful to be out of denial about my car. The $200–400 repair will happen today. Blessed be!

Life is good and I am blessed.

Sue

I’m a barely tamed hippie, sage, seasoned, sarcastic (not all the time any more, but still). I’m a mom, a daughter, sister, a neighbor, and a friend. I’ve been on this meandering journey — like you, probably — seeking a better connection to and experience of peace, harmony, and fun in every bit of life. I’m single, quite good at it, and mostly love it. I’m here for the conversations I get to have with you, which these days center on exploring the mystery and beauty of life, work, health, aging, and creative expression.
