In this liminal, in-between moment

Ask. And listen. In this liminal time…

There’s a drive to get quiet and listen in winter’s darkness.

A drive to name your intentions for the coming year. To resolve. To find your theme, or word for 2018. It’s a liminal, in-between time, between the Solstice and the upcoming time of new and fresh beginnings. There’s much magic in this dark time.

Heed the call, and listen.

  • What sparks are alive in you? They will guide your choice of actions to take.
  • Where is your inner light shining? This will help you heal and release unresolved crap that’s holding you back.
  • What are you called to begin? And what needs to simmer a bit longer? This will help you keep things manageable.

The bright fleeting sunshine and the long hours of darkness offer gifts; you have to quiet down to receive them.

I know that I don’t begin to feel the light increase until mid- to late-January. It can feel like the fleeting but oh-so-bright winter sunshine will be in short supply forever. If I take my walk early enough, I need sunglasses because of the angle of the light. And if I don’t get ready to take my walk until late in the afternoon, and then I’d better bring my headlamp. It’s cold. It’s dark. It’s a powerful and introspective time.

If you wonder how to move forward on your chosen path… And if wonder feels more like worry and stress because of circumstances:

  • finances
  • health
  • business
  • relationships
  • aging
  • fill in the blank

…If you’d like to settle down, find out how you can reconnect to your nimble, resilient self, full of more wonder than fear… please book a no-strings call with me and let’s look together at what’s possible. My 2017 was full of unexpected changes and a ton of stress. I needed guidance, mentorship, and a shit-ton of compassion to lead me back to stillness and my own resilience. I am here for every woman who facing tough stuff. I am here for you, my beautiful sage sister.

Because here’s what I know: No matter how big, how hard, how seemingly unending…. No matter how much you might feel unsupported and exhausted…. When you can settle down, and wait for the mud to settle, clarity is available. When you can let go your deathgrip on your contaminated thinking, magic happens. Sometimes all you need is someone to help you shift your focus.

You can move, and act, and shine your light despite your circumstances. Any circumstance.

I am living proof of this. You are here for a reason. Even if you feel like your light is stifled, it’s not. I promise.

completion guide

You can feel connected and guided as you move through this liminal moment of transition.

Today, tomorrow, any time in the next couple of weeks, really any time in January*…. If you haven’t already, take some time to get complete with the year that’s ending and turn with an open heart to the present and to your vision for 2018. Here’s a workbook that will help you, and it’s only $20.17!

Credit is due: I stepped into the question of how much time I have left after reading this article by Hiro Boga — reading it started some big ripples in me. Further credit to Sally Fox. I’m so glad my friend passed along Sally’s article about this time between times.

*There’s a reason why this completion work is potent even when done in January, after the new calendar year has begun. February 2nd is the pagan festival of Imbolc, the time of initiation, the time when the soil is warming, the seeds are softening, the calves and lambs are being birthed. The priestess’s initiation time. And the time by when you may start feeling the increased light (here in the north). So, sister, you’ve got time. Gift yourself. Gift those you serve with your ease and clarity. Blessed be.

I’m a barely tamed hippie, sage, seasoned, sarcastic (not all the time any more, but still). I’m a mom, a daughter, sister, a neighbor, and a friend. I’ve been on this meandering journey — like you, probably — seeking a better connection to and experience of peace, harmony, and fun in every bit of life. I’m single, quite good at it, and mostly love it. I’m here for the conversations I get to have with you, which these days center on exploring the mystery and beauty of life, work, health, aging, and creative expression. 1. Greetings, Sue and Kathleen ~
Blessings to you in this time (as all times are) of Change.
I’m traveling this week, following my Inner Wisdom, finding parts of myself that I had laid down long ago, somewhere along the path.
Your lantern has helped me find , first that I do still own those parts, even if they’re not in my hands at the moment; and that I still (and always) have the right to (and don’t need permission from any outside force or being) to use those parts of Me for the betterment of the whole.

Blessings to you in this New Year ~
